This version adds the following functions and fixes. - Exiting the Student Edition will now bring the user to the logon screen. This eliminates the need for subsequent users to launch the application, and restricts students from accessing the desktop. Schools with slower network connections may find this feature helpful. - Teachers logging into the Student Edition using their Teacher ID can now add new students to an existing class, or assign tests to students from any computer in the lab. - The Build an Assignment feature has been simplified allowing teachers to select the item bank and topic in the same dialog box. - Teachers can now filter out items they have used in previously built tests. - In the Save Assignment window, teachers have the option to manually order items. - Teachers now have the ability to generate six different forms of a test they have created. When the test is administered to a class of students, the test items remain the same, but the order is generated randomly. This is particularly useful in lab settings. - A new split-screen feature allows the student to view a question and its resource material at the same time. Without the split screen, a student would have to scroll to the bottom of the page to read and answer a question referring to a big chart or long passage. - Test data is automatically backed up to the hard drive once a day and is archived for up to 30 days. - A utility program allows users to restore data that has been backed up. It also includes a program that tech support can use to assist users who have forgotten their login ID and password. If the index files are ever corrupted, the utility program can rebuild them. - The following reports have been added: Class Mastery Report, Class Mastery Summary, Student Gain Report and a Student Mastery Report.
